Enclomiphene citrate is the trans-isomer of clomiphene, a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). Unlike its cis-isomer (zuclomiphene, which causes side effects), enclomiphene acts purely as an anti-estrogen at the hypothalamus and pituitary — blocking estrogen's negative feedback on GnRH/LH production, thereby raising endogenous testosterone without direct exogenous testosterone administration.
