Copper peptide — collagen synthesis, wound healing & hair growth
Full Details & Dosage GuideClinical Uses
- Anti-aging skin rejuvenation
- Wound healing and scar reduction
- Hair follicle restoration and androgenic alopecia
- Collagen and elastin rebuilding
- Post-procedure skin recovery
- Stretch mark reduction
Key Benefits
- Most studied cosmetic peptide — over 50 years of research
- Stimulates collagen I, III, and elastin synthesis
- Increases hair follicle size and hair density
- Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties
- Activates stem cell-like behavior in dermal fibroblasts
- Repairs UV-damaged DNA and reduces photoaging markers
How It Works
GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper) is a naturally occurring plasma peptide that declines 70% between ages 20 and 60. It binds copper ions and upregulates fibronectin, collagen I/III/IV/VII, and elastin synthesis. It also activates decorin (which organizes collagen architecture) and inhibits metalloproteinases. In the scalp, it enlarges hair follicle size and prolongs the anagen (growth) phase.
Dosage Protocol
1–2 mg subcutaneous injection daily or every other day. For hair loss: daily SC injection + topical GHK-Cu serum applied to scalp twice daily. Systemic protocol: 4–8 weeks.
When to Expect Results
Week 2–4: improved skin hydration and early tone improvement. Week 4–8: visible reduction in fine lines, improved skin texture. Month 2–4: collagen remodeling and hair density improvement. Month 4–6: significant anti-aging effect and hair regrowth.
